You Start With Nothing - LD45 is a minimalist survival adventure created for Ludum Dare 45 in just 48 hours. You play as an alien investigator stranded in the wilderness with no gear, no guidance, and only your curiosity to keep you alive. Survive the elements by managing hunger and body temperature while exploring the environment for edible mushrooms and useful plants—avoid the poisonous ones! Movement is handled with WASD, looking and interacting via the mouse, with crawling (Ctrl) and running (Shift) for precise navigation. A strange affinity for eggs leads to discovery: they hold the secrets of crafting. Build a torch to slow down freezing, and experiment to uncover more survival tools. Designed for 16x9 aspect ratio, ideally 1920x1080, this compact experience packs clever mechanics into a short, engaging loop that challenges your instincts and creativity.
