XL1-ClippingPoint
XL1 – Clipping Point is a PC racing game developed by XLGAMES, the studio behind the popular MMORPG ArcheAge. Originally released as a closed beta in 2006 under the name “Clippling Point,” it never saw an official launch but was later distributed as a standalone single-player title. Though it didn’t reach mainstream success, the game earned praise for its realistic physics engine and attention to detail. Players can experience authentic car handling, including weight distribution and close-traction wheel movement. The game also features realistic tuning options, letting users adjust car features like mirror placement and tire width to improve grip. Controls are intuitive, using arrow keys and a few extra buttons for gear changes, with an optional automatic mode for ease. Despite its age, XL1 remains a hidden gem for fans of immersive racing and vehicle simulation. It’s now available for free on Steam.
