Within These Depths is a tense, atmospheric platformer created in 72 hours for Mini Jam 209: Deep. Dive into a dark underwater world where every breath counts—your oxygen supply is limited, and using special abilities like the Jump Chip for double jumps or the Speed Chip for bursts of movement drains it even faster. Navigate treacherous terrain, evade a lurking, malicious frog-like hand, and stay alert as your survival depends on careful resource management. If you die, a frantic quick-time escape lets you reclaim your soul before it's too late. Hidden throughout are 3 collectibles and 2 possible endings, rewarding exploration and precision. With intuitive controls using Arrow Keys, WASD, and Z or Shift to activate abilities, the game offers a compact but intense experience. A post-jump boost with the Speed Chip can extend your reach—just don't get stuck. Every choice, every breath, brings you closer to escape—or doom.
