What the Road Brings is a retro-inspired pseudo-3D racer created for the 32-bit Spring Cleaning game jam. As a prototype, it features a single playable track—Dream-Land—with a non-functional track select menu, reflecting its early development state. The game delivers fast-paced arcade racing with simple controls: use Arrow keys or WASD to steer and accelerate, Enter to confirm, and Escape to pause. While a web versión exists, it suffers from audio delays and unreliable gamepad support across browsers, so the downloadable build is strongly recommended for the best experience. Gamepad functionality is fully supported only in the download versión. Built with free and open-source assets, the game runs on accessible technology and its source code is available on Codeberg. Though rough around the edges, it captures the spirit of 90s-style racers with a modern twist. This is a functional demo, not a finished product, and ratings have been disabled to reflect its prototype status.
