Description

WaveJump is a fast-paced local multijugador platformer where two players battle as bouncy blobs, using perfectly timed jumps to unleash destructive shockwaves. Landing after a jump sends a pulse across the stage—time your leap to dodge it and send one back! With simple controls and intense aerial duels, every match becomes a frantic test of reflexes and rhythm. The game features retro 2D visuals inspired by classic Atari aesthetics, with randomized four-color palettes that shift at the press of the spacebar, giving each round a fresh visual flair. All audio, from the pulsing banda sonora to the dynamic sound effects, was crafted from scratch using two Korg Volca synthesizers during the Global Game Jam. Play with keyboards or gamepads—either way, precision and timing are key to dominating the arena.
