Watch The Fuel is a minimalist space shooter developed by a small team for the third Blackthornprod GameJam, built around the theme "Less is More." You control a rocket restricted to horizontal movement, tasked with defeating a boss using basic shots and a powerful fireball available every 10 seconds. While coins can be collected to upgrade your stats, gathering too many accelerates fuel depletion—your fuel acts as health, and running out means game over. This creates a strategic balance: collect coins wisely or drop them when the fuel cost becomes too high. Randomly appearing green ghosts offer fuel canisters when destroyed, adding another layer of risk versus reward. Though still in progress and lacking the shop system, the game delivers a unique twist on resource management in a simple, arcade-style setting. Watch The Fuel challenges players to think carefully about every decision in their fight for survival.
