Description

VRage is a scrapped beat 'em up inspired by the classic Streets of Rage series, starring Mousey—the beloved gremolin hero—and her unlikely ally, Beelzebub, the Lord of the Flies. Created during a game jam, this unfinished project showcases intense side-scrolling combat with a satisfying mix of punches, heavy attacks, special moves, and rage-fueled abilities. Players battle through waves of enemies, advancing round by round and earning stat-boosting upgrades—choosing one of two perks after each stage, with rare chances for unique power-ups. Controls are intuitive: punch with left click, unleash heavy attacks by charging, perform aerial or directional specials with right-click combos, dash with shift, and trigger a devastating rage move using the middle mouse button. Though development was halted so the creator could focus on Ephemerium Redux, VRage stands as a promising tribute to arcade brawlers. The developer hopes to see fellow creators thrive in Mouse Jam 2024.
