Description
Voracious Metal is an unreleased prototype developed shortly after the closure of Samurai Punk, showcasing an early vision that never reached completion. The project was abandoned due to growing technical debt and unresolved design issues, leaving it in a partially functional state. Inspired by titles like Battle Engine Aquila, the game blends aerial combat with mechanical customization and base-building elements. Players control a powerful mechanized unit capable of flight, melee attacks, and consuming enemies, using a mix of ranged weapons and turrets to dominate the battlefield. The demo features core mechanics such as weapon cycling (keys 1–4), turret deployment (F), and a unique eat/melee function (V), though it suffers from bugs, audio inconsistencies, and occasional soft locks. While the developer has no current plans to fix these issues, Voracious Metal remains a fascinating glimpse into a scrapped creative direction. This prototype offers a raw but intriguing experience for those interested in experimental combat mechanics.
