Description

You MUST Keep the Rhythm! is a one-button rhythm minigame created for CTRL ALT JAM 2026's Carnaval Edition, based on the theme "Not everything that MUST be done CAN be done." Developed in Godot 4.5, the game challenges you to guide a quirky Drinking Bird across the screen by tapping to the beat. Use the left mouse button or the F and J keys to stay in sync with the music. Playable directly in your browser, this post-jam release includes English localization, volume controls, and an in-game pause menu featuring a latency adjustment option—especially useful for browser audio sync. Visual rhythm cues have been enhanced, the banda sonora has been upgraded with real bass recordings, and shaders have been optimized for smoother performance. Music is composed by Vitor Yoiti, with sound effects from Sonniss GDC 2019. Your timing is crucial—keep the rhythm, or watch the bird falter.
