Description
VMirror 2.0 is an experimental project developed as part of the Advanced Topics in Interaction and Multimedia (TAIM) course at FEUP. Designed to explore innovative ways of interacting with virtual environments, vMirror 2.0 focuses on improving object selection in VR, particularly for distant or occluded elements. The technology is tested in scenarios requiring input from two hands, comparing its effectiveness and usability against single-hand operation. By leveraging mirrored visual feedback, vMirror enhances precision and spatial awareness, offering a more intuitive way to interact with hard-to-reach objects. This iteration builds on previous versions to refine user experience and evaluate ergonomic benefits in dual-hand configurations. vMirror 2.0 demonstrates promising potential for future VR interfaces where accuracy and ease of access are critical. The project highlights the evolving role of mirrored feedback in immersive environments.
