In Viyola, you step into the role of a powerful mage who wields magic through music, using a violin as your weapon of choice. Instead of traditional controls, Viyola transforms Nintendo Switch controllers into an immersive instrument: one acts as the violin, worn over your shoulder, while the other becomes the bow, held in your other hand. By moving the violin controller up, down, or center, you determine where your magical barrier appears, while buttons let you switch between red and blue spells. With the bow controller, every stroke brings your magic to life—casting spells based on your selected color and position. Designed as a creative exploration of custom hardware, Viyola blends physical movement with spellcasting in a unique rhythm-driven combat experience.
