Set in the 19th-century Hungarian plains, *Varjútelek - Árnyék a rónán* is a noir-inspired visual novel blending the outlaw legends of the Alföld with the moody aesthetics of classic film noir. As Lieutenant Szentmiklós, you arrive in the remote village of Varjútelek on your first mission: capture Mihály Szikra, the notorious outlaw. But as fog rolls over the marshes and secrets surface in dimly lit taverns, your sense of justice begins to shift. Who truly holds order—the law, or the man with the sharpest blade? Featuring a branching narrative across three acts and five possible endings, the game uses a Virtus system where authority accumulates across playthroughs. Collect 11 "Truth Cards" to unlock hidden content. With hand-crafted woodcut-style visuals, original banda sonora, and dynamic scenes, this atmospheric experience lasts about 20–30 minutes per run, with roughly two hours needed for full discovery.
