Train Chain

Description

Connect the rails to guide the train from its starting station to its destination using just your mouse. This simple yet engaging puzzle game was created by my 9-year-old daughter, while the tree design comes from my 11-year-old son's first Blender project. Built with Blender and Godot using the PhantomCamera addon, the game features assets from Kenney's free models and Kenney's on-screen control pack. Sound effects include a train whistle from *toilet_guy*, a constant train noise by Tim Kahn, and a humorous "crash" sound by WannyManny, all under Attribution 4.0 or Creative Commons licenses. The game supports touch controls, making it playable on mobile devices—just rotate your screen. Known issues include unhandled collisions, allowing rails to overlap trees or go outside boundaries. Despite these, the game offers a fun and creative experience for players of all ages. Train Chain is a unique blend of family creativity and open-source tools.
