Perspectives: Paradise
Perspectives: Paradise immerses players in a powerful VR journey through history, recreating the impact of the first hydrogen bomb test conducted by the United States on November 1, 1952, at Enewetak Atoll. This experience lets you witness the effects of the “Ivy Mike” explosion from just 10 kilometers away, offering a vivid look at the scale and consequences of nuclear testing. You’ll explore the aftermath in a radioactive waste site and interact with residents living in the former testing zone. Developed with Yle, the Finnish Broadcasting Company, this project is part of the Perspectives series, blending immersive journalism with VR storytelling. It’s not a traditional game but a narrative-driven exploration of a pivotal moment in history. Perspectives: Paradise challenges players to reflect on the lasting impact of nuclear technology. Experience history like never before.
