Morels: The Hunt offers a peaceful and immersive adventure where players explore the art of mushroom hunting and wildlife photography. Set in the southeastern United States, the game unfolds over 100 days per season, gradually revealing new regions and hidden secrets. Players can identify both edible and poisonous mushrooms while earning points to level up their Mushroom Hunter Rank. Photographing animals and objects rewards additional points, which can be spent in The Shop on useful gear such as bug spray, first aid kits, raincoats, headlamps, upgraded cameras, and even horses or ATVs for faster travel. The game features dynamic weather that changes daily, and nighttime hunting is possible for those brave enough. Players can also switch to Exploration Mode, taking on the role of an animal for unique rewards and fun. A special nod to real-life folklore appears with mythical creatures like Bigfoot. The developers, a passionate team of brothers, created this game inspired by their own love for mushroom hunting and nature photography.
