Dead Herring VR
Dead Herring VR immerses players in a detective role-playing experience, where they solve a murder case using immersive virtual reality. The game stands out for its unique approach, blending investigative jugabilidad with microscopic analysis tools to examine clues. Designed by students from the University of Art and Design Kassel’s Animation department in collaboration with the Chemistry department, it aims to create engaging educational content for learning chemistry at school or university levels. The project was led by Dennis Stein-Schomburg and Mareike Frevert, with contributions from Victoria Kudlek, Leon Böhm, Áron Farkas, and others in various creative and technical roles. Featuring a diverse cast including Niels Walter as Benjamin Herring and Hannah Schrem as the ex-girlfriend, the game combines realistic sound design and character acting to enhance the narrative. Dead Herring VR offers both entertainment and educational value, making complex scientific concepts accessible through interactive storytelling.
