Cotropitorii is a third-person multijugador action shooter set in an alternate history where Romanian communism triumphs. The game blends a communist-inspired storyline with authentic Romanian music from the era, immersing players in the role of elite Romanian Mountain Hunters during a fictional war against the United States. The narrative begins in 1988, with Romania mobilizing under Nicolae Ceaușescu's regime, leading to a war that escalates into a global conflict. By 2024, Romanian forces have crippled the U.S. military, and the story continues into 2025 as the invasion of Texas looms. The game currently features a single map and is still in development, offering a mix of historical fiction and over-the-top action. Players must infiltrate enemy territory, engage in guerrilla warfare, and eliminate American forces.
