Bianca's Lab (2023) is a concise educational minigame series designed to introduce young children (ages 5+) to bioengineering concepts through interactive play. Players join Bianca, a curious bioengineer, and her robot assistant GENE as they explore scientific principles using intuitive drag-and-drop mechanics. The game features two custom fonts, "Bianca Sans" and "Bianca Serif," available for free download. Developed by Luna Martinez (visuals), Jack Griffith, and James Rackstraw (sound), with programming by Derek Hidalgo and Sarah Scibelli, it emphasizes hands-on learning. Managed by Jay Munger and guided by Professor Chris Fernando, the project includes input from UC San Diego's Department of Bioengineering and partners like Qualcomm Institute.
