Another Bad Day in the Future

Another Bad Day in the Future is an open-world VR espionage game set in a futuristic flying city. Players take on missions for one of four political factions, aiming to pass laws through a dynamic legal system that reacts to their actions. The game features immersive arm swing mechanics, grablines, and full building climbing, allowing for fluid movement across the city’s vertical landscape. Despite its ambitious design, the project faced a major setback in 2020 when a cat’s mishap corrupted the codebase, rendering the development environment unusable. Though the source code is now free to access, the damage to the backend systems made it impossible to continue. Still, the vision remains intact, offering players a unique blend of stealth, strategy, and exploration. This is a story of ambition cut short, but not forgotten.
