Animal Gaze on-XR

Is an immersive, VR-ready exhibition exploring a speculative future where animals are no longer seen as resources. Inspired by the 2023 Istanbul showcase, this digital archive features works by eleven artists from Turkey, Canada, and Germany. The project reimagines a world where animal exploitation is history, set in a repurposed slaughterhouse turned exhibition space. Each artist contributes pieces that document this imagined future, creating an "exhibition within an exhibition." Drawing from Jacques Derrida’s *The Animal That Therefore I Am*, it challenges human perspectives through the lens of animal agency. The experience blends digital and physical art, inviting players to confront ethical questions about coexistence. By merging VR technology with multimedia installations, *Animal Gaze on-XR* offers a thought-provoking journey into a redefined relationship between species. It’s a unique blend of art, philosophy, and innovation. This project redefines interactive storytelling for the next generation of gamers.
