In *Zompanion*, you are Earth's last survivor in a post-apocalyptic ancient China, grappling with solitude until you uncover a mysterious Taoist grimoire granting you the power to reanimate the dead—not as foes, but as companions. Using the Ritual Altar, you dig up body parts and complete talisman-stitching minigames to summon unique zombies, each with distinct backstories and abilities. As you explore the wasteland, gather resources, and expand your base, your undead allies become essential: they can follow you, carry extra items, or embark on solo expeditions to retrieve valuable materials. With simple controls—WASD for movement, E to interact, and mouse input for UI management—you gradually unlock more zombie types and construction options. Starting with just three inventory slots, you'll grow your capabilities through crafting, exploration, and ritual mastery. *Zompanion* blends eerie mysticism with heartwarming connection, turning the undead into the building blocks of a new civilization.
