Yesteryears Arcade
Is a quirky, experimental PC game crafted entirely by solo developer Hexenwerk for the YAZJam 6. Set inside a retro arcade machine, players travel through time to discover lighthearted historical moments designed to bring a smile. The game blends a skeuomorphic, haptic 3D aesthetic built in Blender with inspiration from a nostalgic animated GIF of a cheerful sun and earth carousel. Set in a whimsical “space” environment, it features cute, kawaii visuals and playful interactions. Controls are simple: use the on-screen joystick to steer the experience, adjust speed with dedicated buttons, change volume, and manage jugabilidad via intuitive options like restarting with the left lever or switching between windowed and fullscreen mode. While minor issues like a black screen with odd symbols may appear during early rounds, a quick reset often fixes them. Developed from August to October 2025, Yesteryears Arcade is a charming tribute to.
