Description
XLR-8 is a top-down racing game developed as a high school computer science project by Charl-Pierre Marais and Daniel Barendse. Set in the fictional city of Blinford, the game offers a mix of singleplayer and multijugador experiences. In singleplayer, players complete missions to earn money and unlock new vehicles, while the time trial mode challenges them to beat their best times across three distinct tracks. The multijugador free roam mode supports up to four players, allowing them to explore the city together with customizable settings like traffic density and speed multiplier. Featuring intuitive controls—W to accelerate, S to brake, A and D to steer, Space to confirm, and Esc to cancel—the game emphasizes accessible, fast-paced fun. With its variety of vehicles, engaging modes, and cooperative play, XLR-8 delivers an enjoyable arcade-style racing experience built with passion and creativity.
