XESS

XESS blends the classic strategy of chess with a fresh, adventurous twist. Set in a vibrant world, it offers 16 distinct characters or factions, each with unique units and special setups. Players can enhance their jugabilidad by choosing from 7 powerful relics and casting 4 spells—two from their chosen character and two from their selected relic. Victory can be achieved by capturing the enemy king or, if their faction lacks one, by eliminating all opposing units. The game also features multiple modes: online multijugador, puzzle levels, a short modo historia, endless challenge, and a basic AI for versus matches. XESS also supports custom CRT shaders for a personalized visual experience. While the patch notes mention ongoing updates since versión 14 (March 24, 2022), feedback on balance is encouraged as the game continues to evolve. XESS is a creative reimagining of chess that invites both strategy lovers and fans of experimental jugabilidad.
