Description

WordLearner is a lightweight, home-designed language learning tool created to help kids practice vocabulary from their current lessons in any language. Users can easily create custom lessons by making a simple text file with comma-separated word pairs—Word1,Word2,Comment—where Word1 is the prompt, Word2 the answer, and the comment an optional hint. Load the file, set the number of questions, and start testing. A unique feature allows reversing the quiz direction (e.g., from English to Spanish or vice versa) by clicking the Hungarian flag icon. Navigate your word list using arrow keys, adjust question counts quickly with right-click controls, and take clean, focused quizzes with basic keyboard input. While the tool lacks advanced error handling and formatting safeguards, its simplicity makes it ideal for quick, personalized drills. A sample Hungarian-Italian lesson is included. The Italian and UK flags are decorative touches added for the developer's children. WordLearner delivers a no-frills, effective way to reinforce vocabulary at home.
