Why does the sea cry so much?

Is a short visual novel inspired by the Brazilian fairy tale *Porque o Mar Tanto Chora*. The story follows Rosa, a teenage girl spending time at her family’s beach house, who encounters a mysterious spirit emerging from the sea. As the spirit shares an ancient tale, Rosa uncovers surprising connections between the story and her own life. The narrative is rooted in folklore but enriched with a unique personal twist. Created during Inktober, this project was developed as a digital art experiment, with each scene crafted daily throughout October. The game’s visuals remain predominantly black and white, reflecting the Inktober tradition of monochrome art. The development process was openly shared on YouTube and TikTok, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creation journey. While some music may be temporarily unavailable due to technical issues, the team is actively working to resolve this. Players can enjoy the entire story in one sitting, making it perfect for a quick yet meaningful experience. Support this project to help bring more creative works to life.
