Description

Whist Away blends turn-based dungeon crawling with the strategic card game Whist in a unique, fast-paced adventure. Navigate five dangerous floors, battling monsters not with swords, but with cunning card plays. Each time you attack a monster, you face off in a round of Whist—your selected card versus theirs. Higher value wins, dealing damage; ties result in no harm done. Your hand is dealt at the start of each floor, and enemies hold the rest, so track the eight most recently played cards to predict their moves. Use WASD to move, arrow keys to select cards, and Enter to confirm. Collect gems, defeat foes, and climb the ladder to advance. Monsters play their strongest cards first, and tougher red enemies pack more punch than weaker green ones. Run out of cards, and you can't attack—so play smart. Created in just 48 non-consecutive hours for Miz Game Jam 1, Whist Away offers a fresh twist on deck-building combat.
