Description
Well, Death Happens is a challenging 2D platformer inspired by Super Meat Boy and Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?, created by solo developer Samuel Einheri using Godot and GDscript. In this prototype, death isn't just a setback—it's a core jugabilidad mechanic. Each time the player dies, a "Corpse" is left behind, which can be used as a platform to cross dangerous terrain. Corpses form when the player falls into spikes or pits, dropping straight down unless they die on solid ground. With a limited number of lives, strategic dying becomes essential to progress. Movement uses A/D or arrow keys, with Space or the A-button for jumping. While the game features basic menus, it currently lacks a proper pause or settings menu, and exiting during jugabilidad requires ALT+F4. Controls can feel snappy, and wall sliding behavior may be inconsistent. Despite its rough edges, Well, Death Happens offers a unique twist on platforming by turning failure into a functional tool.
