We Slay Monsters
Blends classic roguelike RPG action with a fresh poker-inspired card combat system. Players choose from classes like Wizard, Rogue, or Warrior, each with a custom deck guiding them through dungeons designed for quick, intense sessions—typically 15–25 minutes per run. The game’s Academy For Dungeoneering serves as a hub, rebuilt from ruin and funded by quests in nearby towns. While heroes may fall, the Academy endures, offering a persistent base to upgrade. Combat mirrors poker rules but with six suits and face values 1–9, where flushes require only three matching cards and trigger powerful super attacks. Each suit grants unique abilities, adding strategic depth. The campaign pits players against the Institute of Evil, a rival school training monsters and bosses. With over 35 unlockable creatures, each featuring distinct skills, progression feels rewarding. The game’s banda sonora by Adam Chandler complements its dark, adventurous tone, available as a full DLC. We Slay Monsters.
