Description

Warpieces is a streamlined 1v1 turn-based strategy game where players build a team of eight units, including a hero, and battle to destroy the opponent's hero first. Matches last 10–20 minutes, offering a quick and accessible experience ideal for newcomers to the genre. Before battle, players deploy units within starting zones, then take turns moving and using abilities—each action ends a unit's turn unless stated otherwise. Skills can deal damage, eliminate units, or control key map points like central crystals, which deal damage to the enemy hero at the end of each round. Units can upgrade abilities by collecting scrap scattered across the map. Entirely playable with a mouse, Warpieces emphasizes simplicity and strategic depth without overwhelming complexity. Developed over nearly a year by a team of Swedish game dev students from Skövde, the game blends clean design, intuitive mechanics, and polished visuals into a compact tactical experience.
