VR Rome
VR Rome offers an immersive journey through the ancient city as it appeared in 320 AD. Set within a vast 2km by 2km virtual space, players can explore iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum, and even the Temple of Claudius and Theatre of Pompey—places rarely visible today. Each structure features informative labels with its name, year, and a detailed panel describing its history, accompanied by modern photos of its current ruins. A standout feature is the interactive museum gallery, where a 1:500 scale model of a building sits on a table, allowing players to examine it from all angles. Inspired by the developer’s personal experience getting lost in the Roman Forum, this indie project blends historical research with VR technology. The game covers key areas from the Colosseum in the southeast to the Stadium of Domitian (now Piazza Navona) in the northwest. For updates, follow VR Rome on Facebook or visit the official site. Experience the grandeur of ancient Rome like never before. Welcome back to Rome!
