Description

VoiceChess is an experimental chess application in development, set for ongoing improvements through 2027. Built with a focus on accessibility and innovation, it features a en tiempo real speech-to-text (STT) system that allows players to navigate menus and make moves using only their voice. The game supports local play and includes integration with Stockfish, the powerful open-source chess engine, with difficulty presets currently in development. A standout feature is blindfold chess mode, enhanced by text-to-speech (TTS) feedback that audibly announces opponent moves, making the game more inclusive for visually impaired players. Though initially conceived as a small-scale project over one to two months, VoiceChess continues to evolve with active refinements.
