Vestige is a free-form experimental game that blends high-speed movement, exploration, and creative expression in a vast open world. You control a hovering entity that collects spherical followers, forming a dynamic pack that enhances your abilities. By switching between three distinct stances—Standard, Rake, and Needle—you can optimize for agility, gathering efficiency, or explosive speed boosts. The pack leaves permanent traces on the terrain, letting you mark your journey with visual trails that become part of the landscape. These imprints serve as personal mementos, reappearing as you explore further. With no set objectives, Vestige functions as a proof of concept, showcasing innovative interaction mechanics and rule design. Developed by five game design students at ICAN Paris, the experience emphasizes fluid movement and player-driven expression. Some bugs may occur, especially in canyon areas. For best performance, lower graphic settings like water reflectivity and grass distance. Use a gamepad for controls—plug it in before launching the.exe—and a mouse for menus.
