Verdant Vault is a turn-based roguelike tactics game inspired by classics like Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy Tactics, Nuclear Throne, and Into The Breach. Set in a solarpunk world where climate disaster was averted, the game explores themes of hope and eco-grief, challenging players to balance exploration with stewardship. You lead an expedition to a long-lost seed vault buried deep underground, rediscovered 200 years after the devastating Seed War wiped out most plant biodiversity. As you delve into procedurally generated dungeons, every decision carries risk and reward, demanding strategy over greed. The current prototype showcases core combat and dungeon crawling mechanics, with base building yet to be implemented. Designed for keyboard controls on Windows, Verdant Vault invites players into a world where survival means respecting nature's limits. This journey could rewrite history—and restore life to a wounded world.
