Vapor Race

Description

Race against friends in *Vapor Race*, a fast-paced multijugador platformer built for Brackey's Game Jam 2021. Compete in five intense rounds, racing to the finish line online or over local network. Grab random power-ups on the fly—double jumps, speed boosts, and more—that stack and enhance your movement. Keep your upgrades between rounds and use them strategically to stay ahead. Build momentum by running and hitting "second wind" for a speed surge, but watch your shake level: too much instability kills speed, while staying calm boosts your top velocity. Tumble on landing to reduce shake and maintain flow. Descents fuel your speed, while climbs slow you down. While in the air, brief contact with an opponent who has a double jump grants you the same ability until landing. Inspired by the theme "Stronger Together," *Vapor Race* features shared power-ups—when near rivals, both players temporarily benefit from each other's boosts, creating dynamic, cooperative competition.
