Towards the Enduring Light | 向光而行
Is a minimalist walking simulator inspired by the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak and real-life events during the quarantine. Developed for the "Gaming Spirit Bomb" fundraiser, it supports doctors and victims in Wuhan, China. Players navigate an empty, post-apocalyptic versión of the city, reflecting the eerie silence and isolation seen in the news. The game draws from stories of a mysterious hero delivering masks, highlighting humanity’s resilience. Created in the open-source Godot engine, it’s a stripped-down experience focusing on emotional depth over complex mechanics. Donations, processed through NEKCOM Entertainment, directly aid Tongji Hospital. The team aimed to blend narrative and atmosphere, inspired by titles like *What Remains of Edith Finch* and *The Graveyard and Passage*. Though rough around the edges, it offers a poignant, thought-provoking journey. Available on Itch.io, it’s a tribute to both art and real-world compassion. This project stands as a testament to creativity and community in challenging.
