Totem's Sound
Totem's Sound immerses players in the 19th-century journey of Norwegian explorer Johan Adrian Jacobsen, inspired by his real-life expeditions along the northwestern coasts of the Americas. This narrative-driven game blends historical adventure with engaging outdoor activities—racing canoes, gathering clams, and surviving encounters with wildlife—while highlighting the challenges faced by indigenous tribes striving to preserve their cultures. Developed by gold extra in collaboration with Causa Creations and supported by the Humboldt Lab Dahlem, the game reflects a deep commitment to storytelling and cultural awareness. Featuring art by Adeline Ducker, sound design by Karl Zechenter, and a banda sonora that captures the essence of exploration, Totem's Sound is both educational and entertaining. It was showcased at the Museum Dahlen from September 2014 to February 2015 as part of the Rehersal Stage 4 – Travelogue. With updates like the 1.0.1 patch addressing shader issues, the game continues to evolve. Experience the blend of history, survival, and discovery.
