Survival
Tile Crunch
Puts you in the shoes of a worker tasked with catching hammers before they fall off the screen. The core challenge lies in balancing speed and caution—walk slowly to avoid breaking unstable tiles, or rush with the rush button for faster movement, though doing so risks collapse. The game’s design, crafted for GDevelop Big Game Jam #5’s “unstable” theme, reflects both physical and workplace instability. Physically, the shifting tiles mirror the fragility of the environment; thematically, it mirrors the pressure of overwork and its consequences. Inspired by the experience of invisible disabilities, the game highlights how appearances can mask strain, just as players might seem productive while secretly nearing their limits. Controls are intuitive: use arrow keys or a gamepad’s D-pad to move, and hold space or face buttons to rush. Every tile counts—once they’re gone, performance plummets. Tackle the challenge and see how long you can keep the workflow alive.
