Thrust Legend
Thrust Legend is a modern reimagining of the iconic 1986 arcade classic "Thrust" by Jeremy C. Smith. Players pilot a spaceship through dangerous planetary caverns, aiming to lock onto enemy power pods using the tractor beam and escape the planet’s gravity. Enemy defenses activate automatically based on proximity, powered by central power stations. Destroying these stations stuns defenses temporarily, but they can only withstand so much damage before exploding, unleashing a devastating shockwave that threatens the entire planet. Players must use ship shields to block enemy fire and impacts, though shields and weapons cannot be used simultaneously. Fuel canisters are essential for refueling, and running out means game over. Once a planet is conquered, it remains unlocked for future practice or challenge runs. Bonus points are awarded for destroying power stations, completing missions quickly, conserving fuel, and surviving without losing a life. Playing in "Legendary Mode" restarts from the beginning to chase high scores. The remake features six remastered original levels, five.
