In *The Minister*, players navigate a complex web of character management and political intrigue. Each official has four core traits—Traits, HP, Loyalty, and Satiety—that shape their effectiveness and survival. Traits influence abilities and interactions, while Loyalty and HP are vital for retaining characters; losing either completely removes them from the game. Satiety stabilizes both, making it a key stat to manage. Vacant positions in the Ministry of Revenue require strategic acquisition through methods like bribery, assassination, or appointments. Players must carefully assign loyal subordinates to fill these roles. Battles involve up to three warrior attendants in turn-based combat and up to nine scholar attendants for debate modes, blending action and dialogue. The world feels alive, with each character facing personal struggles amid societal chaos and disasters. The game challenges players to prioritize tasks in a crumbling state, where every decision shapes the legacy they leave behind. The outcome hinges entirely on your choices. This dynamic blend of strategy and storytelling ensures no two playthroughs are alike.
