The Drowning Machine
Is a deeply personal and emotional game born from loss and friendship. Created in memory of Charlie Schulz, whose life was tragically cut short in February 2019, the game reflects the bond between two friends working on a project together before his passing. Each movement draws from Charlie’s own poetry, turning grief into art. *Eulogy* captures raw sorrow, while *Wanderlust* and *Freefall* explore themes of escape and pain through powerful verses like "Break (It) Down" and "Selfish." The game’s narrative unfolds through these poetic excerpts, offering players a moving journey into loss, memory, and healing. Set to release soon, *The Drowning Machine* promises to be a unique experience blending storytelling, emotion, and interactive design. It will also be featured on the Haunted PS1 Demo Disc 2021, marking a special tribute to Charlie’s legacy. This project stands as both a memorial and a celebration of creativity, resilience, and friendship. It’s a must-play for those who appreciate meaningful.
