The Dream of Shadowlands Episode 1

Plunges players into a chilling, top-down RPG experience inspired by classic RPGMaker horror. Rina, a protagonist shunned and cursed, awakens in a surreal underwater dreamscape teeming with danger. Teaming up with Jyl, a blunt demon, players navigate eerie environments, confront cultists, and battle grotesque monsters. The game’s hand-drawn ink-and-paper art and 90s anime-inspired retro style set a haunting tone. Fully voice-acted with an amateur cast—optional audio can be disabled in settings. Controls are intuitive: WASD for movement, I to interact, J to block, and others for combat or navigation. As the first of five planned episodes, this installment introduces a narrative steeped in body horror and emotional turmoil. Players must overcome Rina’s trauma to survive the Shadowlands’ perils. With its unique art and immersive storytelling, the series promises a gripping journey.
