The Determinator
Step into the shoes of a caseworker at the Federal Bureau of Determinations, Millbrook District, where your task is to review disability, retirement, and supplemental income claims. Each case presents a file filled with documents—applications, physician letters, employer notices, and sometimes a personal statement from the claimant. You must read, verify, and decide: approve, deny, or request more information. The manual guides you most of the time, but real-life situations are rarely straightforward. You have ten days to process dozens of cases, balancing accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. There’s no scoreboard, no moral meter—just the weight of your decisions. With 80+ unique narratives and a pool of 10-day cases, your choices shape the outcome. The game offers no timer, no score, and no shortcuts. It’s a deep dive into the gap between policy and human reality. Best played with headphones for full immersion. The rules are simple. The people aren’t.
