Synthwave Ascension
Synthwave Ascension is a top-down shooter blending roguelite mechanics with a vibrant synthwave aesthetic. Players face waves of enemy robots and cyborgs, relying on strategic character progression to survive. Early jugabilidad is challenging, as starting weak requires careful resource management. Skill points and credits earned through combat allow players to enhance attributes, unlock upgrades, and customize their character via a detailed skill menu. Reaching max level triggers an Ascend (Prestige) mode, resetting progress with added points for further growth. Enemies adapt dynamically, becoming tougher and faster as players eliminate them. The game currently offers four skill categories with five attributes each, three versatile weapons—dual pistols, laser rifle, and shotgun—each with unique effects, and a dash ability for quick escapes. Music by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio complements the retro-futuristic vibe. Planned updates include controller support, refined skill upgrades, temporary power-ups like invincibility, and expanded enemy diversity. A hub.
