Shroom and Gloom: Jam Version is a first-person, dungeon-crawling deck-building game set in a surreal, hand-drawn world of mushrooms and madness. Players explore The Underealm, armed with a rust blade, a dying phone, and a passion for roasted mushrooms. The game blends CCG mechanics with exploration, letting you slash, roast, and devour fungal enemies while building and customizing your deck. A second deck unlocks new strategies, and choices like lockpicking or bashing doors shape your journey. Encounter bizarre foes—Terry the Terrifying, enchanting Bardshrooms, and otherworldly Pizza Blobs—while uncovering a uniquely creepy yet charming universe. Originally born in 2021 as a 10-day jam, this prototype has evolved into a full project, with updates ongoing.
