In the alternate reality of 1920s Europa, the ashes of the Great War still smolder as a new phase of conflict emerges. The introduction of Mechs, built by the coveted independent city-state "The Factory", has revolutionized warfare. Players take on the role of one of five factions - Saxony Empire, Crimean Khanate, Rusviet Union, Polania Republic, or Nordic Kingdom - and strive to become the dominant force in Europa. To achieve victory, players must explore new territories, recruit new soldiers, and deploy their forces by building formidable Mechs. With each choice critical to the outcome, players must carefully select their battles and prioritize the needs of their people. Scythe's asymmetrical design ensures that each player's experience is unique, with distinct starting resources, locations, and objectives. With complete control over their fate, players must navigate the challenges of combat, resource management, and engine building to emerge victorious.
