Rebel Fury
Rebel Fury is a turn-based strategy wargame designed by Mark Herman and published by GMT Games, inspired by classic 1970s–80s boardgames. Set across six iconic Civil War battles—Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Chickamauga, Chattanooga, the Wilderness, and Spotsylvania—the game blends historical accuracy with modern digital play. Players can compete solo or face off against AI opponents online, with a dedicated solitaire mode featuring simplified AI for learning. The jugabilidad centers on hex-based movement, using markers to represent units on a map that mirrors traditional boardgame layouts. Turns follow a classic "I go, you go" rhythm, with players alternating until one side concedes. At that point, the opponent gains random unopposed actions, adding tension. Combat hinges on dice rolls adjusted for terrain, unit positioning, and artillery support. Attackers gain advantages from supporting units, while defenders benefit from strong defensive positions. Each scenario offers unique victory conditions, reflecting historical objectives and encouraging.
