PsychLabVR
PsychLabVR is an innovative virtual research center developed by Noah Robinson, a clinical psychology doctoral student at Vanderbilt University. Available for free on Steam VR, it offers immersive experiments designed to study social anxiety through realistic virtual scenarios. The project, built with Unity, gathers behavioral data and survey responses under IRB approval, aiming to create accessible, automated treatments for social anxiety disorder. Researchers and developers can also use the platform to test their own Unity-based environments. While the experience may occasionally freeze or take 1–5 minutes to load between scenes, the team is actively working on improvements. Players interested in contributing to mental health research or exploring experimental psychology tools should reach out to Noah Robinson. PsychLabVR continues to evolve with new experiments and free therapeutic content. We appreciate your patience as we refine this groundbreaking project.
