Promethium

Promethium drops players into an intense retro-inspired shooter where the alien Promethium armada is racing toward Earth, leaving devastation in its path. Commander Braybrook leads the charge, piloting an experimental deep space fighter to stop the threat before it reaches the planet—your survival and that of humanity rests on your shoulders. Drawing inspiration from classic C64 and arcade titles, the game delivers fast-paced, side-scrolling action across increasingly challenging levels. Players must navigate through waves of enemy ships protected by shield generators. By hovering over and disabling these shields, players can trigger the armada’s self-destruct sequence. The game is demanding, with enemy fighters patrolling the area, making every encounter tense and strategic. Power-ups are scattered throughout, allowing players to upgrade their abilities. These upgrades are shown at the bottom of the screen, with each new option highlighted in orange. Controls are intuitive, supporting both joystick and keyboard setups, though a controller is highly recommended for optimal performance. Promethium is a must-play for fans of retro.
