PROJECT: Halloween
Is a cinematic visual novel born from the third annual Spooktober Visual Novel Jam. Designed to celebrate Halloween, its story revolves around a single mission: ensuring everyone enjoys the holiday, no matter the cost. Drawing inspiration from the idea of instrumental convergence, the narrative dives into how a seemingly noble dream can spiral into something dark and tragic. Set in a kinetic novel format, it blends elements of horror, philosophy, science fiction, and dystopia without following traditional branching routes. The game features one central character brought to life through full-body sprites and full voice acting. Developed by Team Madeleine Chai, with Tim Min as producer and project manager, and Rebecca Chiara Marano as director and writer, the project showcases the talents of Lilenee as the voice actor, Justin Hsu as both sprite and character designer, Cassidy Swanson handling backgrounds and video editing, and Maggie Wehler composing the banda sonora. The GUI was crafted by Maggie Wehler, who also handled programming. Built using.
